What's Wrong With Facebook

Facebook went offline for numerous users on Thursday, with the world's most popular social media network telling customers that "something went wrong".

When seeing Facebook.com, instead of seeing the typical homescreen or news feed, individuals were greeted with a blank screen and a short mistake message.

" Sorry, something failed. We're working with it as well as we'll get it taken care of as soon as we can," the message checks out.

The blackout began at around 5.30 pm BST but, for the majority of customers, appeared to have been solved around 20 mins after.

Down Detector, which collects reports of popular solutions being down, displayed interruptions in the UK, Europe and the United States.

Of course, people required to Twitter to have their say.

The site decreased on Thursday afternoon as well as brief-ly appeared to work again for some individuals.

A spokesperson for Facebook has said they are considering what took place.

Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook president, went to an event put on by Oculus, the virtual reality headset firm Facebook owns.
