Got this myself on my phone, and it just declined to upgrade. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this appears to be a problem that Facebook know. It's an issue with the Facebook application, and also not a generalised Play Store issue.

This is what helped me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage space, Clear all data and also Clear cache


It does not injured if you reactivate your phone before you try upgrading facebook once again. And also, the mount was SLOW. Simply a minimum of 4-5 mins. But, it did job. If not try to uninstall it, or merely await a repair.
