Got this myself on my phone, and also it just declined to upgrade. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be a concern that Facebook understand. It's a concern with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Shop concern.

This is what benefited me at least.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Shop, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage space, Clear all information and also Clear cache


It doesn't injured if you restart your phone prior to you try upgrading facebook again. And also, the install was SLOW. Just at least 4-5 mins. However, it did work. If not try to uninstall it, or merely wait for a repair.
