Got this myself on my phone, as well as it simply rejected to upgrade. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be a concern that Facebook recognize. It's an issue with the Facebook app, and also not a generalised Play Store issue.

This is what worked for me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Shop, Clear data as well as Clear cache

  2. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Provider > Manage area, Clear all information and Clear cache


It does not hurt if you reactivate your phone prior to you try updating facebook again. As well as, the install was SLOW. Simply at least 4-5 mins. However, it did job. If not attempt to uninstall it, or just wait on a solution.
