I Updated Facebook and now It Won't Work | New 2019

Got this myself on my phone, and it just refused to update. Below's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be a concern that Facebook know. It's an issue with the Facebook app, and not a generalised Play Store issue.

This is what benefited me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Shop, Clear data and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Solutions > Manage space, Clear all information as well as Clear cache


It does not hurt if you reboot your phone before you try updating facebook again. And, the install was SLOW. Simply at the very least 4-5 mins. However, it did job. Otherwise try to uninstall it, or just wait for a fix.
