Why Won't My Facebook App Update | New 2019

Got this myself on my phone, and also it just rejected to upgrade. Here's what worked for me.

Edit: this appears to be an issue that Facebook are aware of. It's an issue with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Shop issue.

This is what benefited me at least.

  1. Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store, Clear data and Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Provider > Manage room, Clear all data and Clear cache


It does not harmed if you reactivate your phone before you try updating facebook once again. And also, the install was SLOW. Simply a minimum of 4-5 minutes. Yet, it did work. Otherwise attempt to uninstall it, or simply wait for a repair.
