I Updated Facebook and now It Won't Open | New 2019

Got this myself on my phone, and it just declined to upgrade. Here's what benefited me.

Edit: this seems to be an issue that Facebook recognize. It's a problem with the Facebook application, and not a generalised Play Store problem.

This is what benefited me at the very least.

  1. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Store, Clear information and also Clear cache

  2. Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Provider > Manage space, Clear all information as well as Clear cache


It doesn't harmed if you reactivate your phone before you try upgrading facebook once again. And also, the mount was SLOW. Simply at the very least 4-5 minutes. Yet, it did work. If not attempt to uninstall it, or merely wait for a fix.
